Pamela Naidoo is a registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience in academia and health organizations. Currently, Pamela operates as a doctor in private practice since January 1987 and holds positions as an Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town and an Extraordinary Professor at the University of the Western Cape. Pamela's leadership roles include CEO of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa, Immediate Past President of the African Heart Network, and Board Member of the World Stroke Organization. Additionally, Pamela serves as an Associate Professor Extraordinaire at Stellenbosch University. Previous experience includes serving as Research Director at the Human Sciences Research Council from July 2010 to August 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the University of Durban-Westville, a Doctor of Philosophy in Health/Medically Applied Psychology from the University of Natal, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Cape Town. Most recently, Pamela completed a program at Harvard University in October 2023.
