Sebastian Gralla has a diverse work experience, starting with an internship at Babcock Noell GmbH in 2008. In 2011, they began working as a Student Researcher at va-Q-tec, eventually progressing to the role of Research Engineer. Sebastian then transitioned to the role of Product Manager in February 2018 and currently holds the position of Head of Product Development TEnEff at va-Q-tec since September 2021. In 2016, Sebastian also briefly worked as a Scientific Assistant at Fraunhofer ISC.

Sebastian Gralla obtained a Master of Science degree in Nanotechnology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where they studied from 2009 to 2015.
