Alan Powers

Alan Powers is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Valcor Engineering Corporation since April 2025, Alan previously held the position of Engineering Manager for the Flight Controls Business Unit at Whippany Actuation Systems from March 2017 to April 2025. Earlier roles include Mechanical Design Engineer for the Military Business Unit at Whippany, R&D Engineer at Thomas & Betts, and Mechanical Design Engineer at Ametek Aerospace, where responsibilities encompassed the design of various aerospace-related sensors and systems. Alan holds a Master's of Business and Science in Engineering Management from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, along with an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering from County College of Morris.
