Jon Stanley

Jon Stanley has extensive experience in the mining and safety sectors, currently serving as the Underground Mine Operations Superintendent at Vale since August 2017, after progressing through various roles including Underground Operations Supervisor and Safety Coordinator positions. Prior to Vale, Jon held senior health and safety roles at Tata Steel from July 2013 to August 2017. Additional career highlights include serving as an HSE Advisor at Pennecon Limited and Noble Drilling as a Junior SHE Lead. Jon began the professional journey as a long hole driller and blaster at Boart Longyear from 2007 to 2009. Academic qualifications include studies at the University of New Brunswick from 2010 to 2012 and attendance at Prince of Wales from 1998 to 2001.
