Valence College Prep
Nicole Kone currently serves as the Executive Director and Principal at Valence College Prep since July 2019, with prior roles including Middle School Principal, Interim Executive Director, and Founding Dean of Students and Inclusive Learning. Nicole is also a member of Chief, beginning in August 2023. Previously, Nicole worked at Uncommon Schools from December 2014 to June 2019 as a Special Education Coordinator and Instructional Leader, as well as a Learning Support Specialist. Nicole's experience includes being an Educational Consultant, a Bilingual Special Education Teacher with the NYC Department of Education, and an Administrator at Chi Wah Organica. Nicole has a robust educational background, holding a Master of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing and Spanish from Loyola University New Orleans. Notably, Nicole co-founded a micro-lending organization for low-income entrepreneurs, recognized with the Clinton Global Initiative University Outstanding Commitment Award.
