Carissa Willis

Carissa Willis is a Senior Data Scientist at Valo Health since June 2024. Previously, Carissa held the position of Senior Associate Scientist - Bioinformatics at Atalanta Therapeutics from September 2022 to May 2024, and served as Associate Scientist II, Human Genetics at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals from October 2020 to August 2022. During tenure at Alnylam, Carissa utilized large multi-omics data from the UK Biobank for drug target identification and biomarker discovery. Earlier roles included a Statistical Genetics Intern at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, where Carissa analyzed genomic data and presented findings using Tableau, and a Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University, overseeing General Biology labs. Carissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, both from Northeastern University.
