Hao Chang

Hao Chang has extensive work experience in the field of data science. In November 2022, they joined Valo as a Staff Data Scientist. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at WorldQuant Predictive from January 2021 to November 2022. Hao also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Yale University from October 2014 to December 2017 and held a Research Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University from September 2007 to September 2014. Hao began their career as an intern at Schlumberger in August 2002.

Hao Chang's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Tsinghua University, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Hao then pursued a Master of Science degree in Condensed Matter and Computational Physics at Tsinghua University from 2003 to 2005. Subsequently, Chang attended The Johns Hopkins University from 2005 to 2007, studying Biophysics. This period does not include a specific degree. Finally, their educational journey culminated with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where they attended from 2007 to 2014.
