Nate Harms is a Senior Data Scientist at Valo since 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at Enko as a Data Scientist from 2021 to 2022, where they spearheaded the development of a Python package and collaborated on the construction of Enko's DEL-ML pipeline. Nate also has experience as a Data Scientist at ZebiAI Therapeutics in 2021, where they created Python modules and Docker images for ML experiments and analyzed predictions for hit finding. Before that, Nate worked as an Undergraduate Research Coordinator and Graduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University, where they mentored undergraduate students and developed computational tools for chemistry research. Nate also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University and Oregon State University, respectively, assisting in teaching and providing educational support to students. Additionally, they have internship experience at HP, Virginia Tech, and ATI Wah Chang, where they worked on ink chemistry, vaccine preservation, and analytical chemistry projects.
Nate Harms completed their education history with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Oregon State University from 2012 to 2016, earning a degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Biochemical Processes. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Fellowship Completion from The Data Incubator in September 2020.
