Timothy Monos

Timothy Monos has a diverse work experience in the field of science and research. Timothy currently works as a Senior Scientist at Valo since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at MilliporeSigma as a Senior Automation and Data Research Scientist, specializing in Cheminformatics Technologies from March 2020 to May 2021, and as a Senior Automation and Data Research Scientist from May 2021 to May 2022. Before joining MilliporeSigma, Timothy served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from November 2018 to March 2020. Timothy also worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Michigan from July 2013 to August 2018. Timothy began their research career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut, where they worked with Professor Nicholas Leadbeater on method development for safe laboratory protocols utilizing microwave heating in organic synthesis. Additionally, they gained industry experience as a Research and Development Intern at Unilever in 2012. In 2010, Timothy worked as a Student Lab and Field Analyst Assistant at the University of Connecticut Center for Environmental Sciences and Engineering, conducting analysis of biodiesel and preparing samples for analysis by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emissions Spectrometry.

Timothy Monos has a strong educational background in chemistry. Timothy obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut in the period from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, they pursued their academic career and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Michigan between 2013 and 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Timothy has also pursued further certifications to enhance their skills in various areas. In October 2019, they obtained a certification in "Excel Data Visualization Part 1: Mastering 20+ Charts and Graphs" from LinkedIn. More recently, in December 2020, they acquired three certifications: "Learning Data Science: Using Agile Methodology," "Machine Learning and AI Foundations: Value Estimations," and "Managing Projects with Microsoft Teams," all from LinkedIn. These certifications reflect their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
