Throughout his career spanning diverse industries like agriculture and forestry through to telco and energy, Chris has always maintained a common theme - using data to do things better.
An engineer by training, Chris moved through supply chain management and optimisation modelling roles before turning to IT architecture and a fascination with all things data. A keen proponent of cloud he has implemented large data lakes, warehouses, server-less integration and IoT platforms - all on public cloud. And when there isn't sufficient data he enjoys designing and building IoT devices to acquire it.
Prior to joining Valocity Chris was CTO at Agrigate (a Fonterra/LIC JV), GM Architecture, Data & Analytics at Genesis Energy, and Manager Business Intelligence & Data at Telecom NZ.
