Michael Krenn is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in controlling and analytics. Currently serving as a Senior Controller at Valora Group since September 2022, Michael previously held the position of Global Process Expert - Enterprise Analytics at Clariant from January 2017 to September 2022. Michael's tenure at Clariant also included a role as Business Unit Controller, focusing on operations controlling, sales and margin analysis, reporting, and Capex projects, as well as a graduate trainee position where Michael developed Production KPIs and provided controlling support for various business units. Early career experience includes an internship at Mercedes-Benz AG. Michael earned a Diplom-Ökonom in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Hohenheim and completed studies at the University of Jyväskylä. Michael is also LeanSigma Green Belt trained.

Valora Retail operates marketing and distribution systems for press, tobacco and consumer products for daily use and the impulse buyer's market through small retail outlets in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, including the k kiosk, k presse + buch, avec., P&B, tabacon, ServiceStore DB, CIGO and Caffe Spettacolo. Ditsch/Brezelkoenig produces lye-bread and other bakery products in Germany and Switzerland, which are distributed both to its own agency outlets and to the wholesale sector.
