Alex Timbs has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the technology and digital marketing industry.
Alex currently serves as the VP of Operations at Valve, a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to that, Alex was the Head of Data & Attribution, International at Verizon Media from January 2019 to March 2020.
Before their time at Verizon Media, Alex held the same role at Oath from June 2017 to January 2019. Alex also served as the Head of Data & Attribution, International at AOL from November 2015 to June 2017.
Alex's experience at AOL also includes roles as the Head of Commercial Product Strategy from December 2014 to November 2015, and as the Head of Technical Sales Operations from February 2012 to December 2014. In these positions, Alex oversaw various aspects of international operations, including product delivery, expansion, and data strategy.
Prior to their time at AOL, Alex worked at TradeDoubler, where they held multiple roles. These positions included Head of Platform Sales from October 2010 to February 2012, Technical Services Director from January 2009 to October 2010, Intl. Technical Account Director from December 2006 to December 2008, and Technical Services Manager from September 2004 to November 2006. In these roles, Alex was responsible for business unit P&L, sales, and technical services support for clients across Europe and Japan.
Alex began their career in 2003 as the Director, Co-Owner, and Webmaster at Imsmart Ltd. Alex also worked as a Webmaster at Smart Entertainment during the same time.
