Kelsey Williams, Ph.D., serves as a Research Program Manager and Scientific Project Leader at Van Andel Institute since December 2018, after holding the role of Research Associate. Prior to this, Kelsey founded and directed Lovely and Enough, an award-winning textile design company, achieving significant growth in social media engagement and successfully licensing designs. Kelsey has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University, facilitating key collaborations and managing laboratory resources, resulting in funded projects and multiple publications. Academic contributions include mentoring students in textile technology and presenting on sustainable materials. Educational achievements comprise a current MBA pursuit at Indiana University, a Ph.D. in Fiber and Polymer Sciences, and dual bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Studio Art from Wheaton College. Kley has been recognized with several awards for leadership and excellence in research and teaching.
