Jacques De Groot has extensive experience in quality assurance and research, particularly in the veal production sector. Currently serving as Quality Assurance Project Manager and Head of Quality Assurance at VanDrie Group since July 2011, Jacques oversees the integrated chain of veal production focusing on food safety, sustainability, animal welfare, and meat quality. Prior to this role, Jacques held positions at VanDrie Group from 1989 to 2011 as Head of Research and Development/Quality Assurance, managing research programs related to veterinary health, physiology, nutrition, and husbandry. Earlier professional experiences include positions as a Nutritionist at Holland Feed International and Industrie + Handelmaatschappij Arie Blok, providing technical support in livestock nutrition and health. Jacques holds a degree in Animal Nutrition, Physiology, and Crop Growing from Wageningen University & Research, completed in 1984.
