Jeff Hamond is an experienced professional in government relations and philanthropy, currently serving as Vice President and Director of the Philanthropy Practice at Van Scoyoc Associates since September 2011. In this role, Jeff leads efforts that address the needs of individual foundations while supporting membership groups within the philanthropic sector. Prior to this position, Jeff held significant roles such as Economic Policy Director for the Office of Senator Charles E. Schumer and Senior Legislative Assistant for Economic & Tax Policy at the Office of U.S. Senator John Kerry. Jeff began a career in policy research at the Progressive Policy Institute from 1993 to 1996. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from Tufts University.
