Alice Friedman

Alice Friedman is an accomplished Active Transportation Planner with extensive experience in sustainable transportation, data analysis, and urban planning. Currently serving as the Lead Active Transportation Planner at VHB, Alice leads bicycle and pedestrian planning initiatives in the New York Metro area. Previous roles include Program Manager for Data Analysis at the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, where Alice developed user-centric tools for electric vehicle infrastructure, and various positions at StreetLight, focusing on product management for planning and safety solutions. Alice has also held key positions in the New York City Department of Transportation, where contributions included directing planning and policy for the bicycle unit and leading community engagement for significant infrastructure projects. Educational qualifications include a B.S. and MCP from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, along with an M.S. in Data Science from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
