Keith Parker

Keith Parker is the current Director at VHB. Prior to this, they served as the General Manager/CEO of MARTA from December 2012 to October 2017. Keith was responsible for implementing the “The MARTA Transformation Initiative” which served as a blueprint for fiscal efficiencies, customer improvements and workforce development. Keith was also successful in converting an inherited deficit from $33 million (projected) to a $9 million surplus (actual) in 6 months. Following almost seven years of flat wages, MARTA provided raises for all eligible employees every year during Parker’s tenure. Thanks to Parker’s improved agency reputation, MARTA was able to pass referendums to expand MARTA service in Clayton County (2014) and the City of Atlanta (2016). Prior to their time at MARTA, Keith served as the President/CEO of VIA Metropolitan Transit from July 2009 to December 2012.

Keith Parker attended the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia. Keith then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Richmond. Finally, they completed their Master of Urban and Regional Planning at Virginia Commonwealth University.
