Vance Thompson Vision
Alex Nelson is an experienced accounting professional and dedicated soccer coach. As an Accounting Representative at Vance Thompson Vision since October 2016, Alex manages month-end close duties and reconciles balance sheet accounts while maintaining financial records for multiple clinics and surgery centers. In the realm of sports, Alex has served as the Head Soccer Coach for the Sioux Falls School District since June 2019, leading the team to the 2023 AA State Championship and mentoring over 40 students. Previous coaching experience includes a tenure as Head Coach at Dakota Alliance Soccer Club from July 2016 to June 2019. Alex also has experience in finance from a Community Development Internship with the City of Sioux Falls, focusing on accounts receivable and invoicing. Early work experience includes a cashier role at Scheels. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Dakota Wesleyan University, completed in 2016.
