VANCOUVER ISLAND REGIONAL LIBRARY
Allison Trumble is an experienced librarian currently serving as the Acting Library Manager for Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL), overseeing three branches and a team of over 20 employees since September 2015. Previously, Allison held various positions, including Customer Services Librarian II and Children and Youth Librarian at North Vancouver District Public Library, and worked in limited-term and part-time librarian roles at Simon Fraser University, BCIT, and UBC's Koerner Library. Early in the career, Allison completed a co-op as a Student Librarian for the Office of the Auditor General of Canada and conducted research assistance at UBC. Prior to entering the library field, Allison managed a crew in the tree planting industry and developed customer service skills in boutique retail and tutoring roles. Allison holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Studies from The University of British Columbia and a BA Joint Honours in English and Creative Writing from Concordia University.
