David C. Waddell

David C. Waddell is an accomplished library professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles at Vancouver Public Library since June 2013, currently serving as Manager of Neighbourhood Services. Throughout this tenure, Waddell has led innovative community-driven library initiatives, coordinated teams across digital services, and enhanced patron engagement through programs and workshops tailored for the community's needs. Previous roles include managing digital experiences and collections, conducting user experience evaluations, and promoting digital creativity through the Inspiration Lab. Waddell holds a Master of Information and Library Studies and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Calgary.
