Elisa Friedman Stevenson currently serves as Associate Vice President of Community Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a position held since March 2019, after previously holding the title of Assistant Vice President. From October 2013 to March 2019, Elisa held dual roles as Director of Planning and Community Engagement at Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance and Director of Community Health Improvement at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on leadership in community engagement programs and collaboration with institutional and community partners. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Planning and Evaluation at the Institute for Community Health and the Cambridge Health Alliance from May 1999 to June 2013, overseeing project teams in community-based participatory evaluations and managing collaborations with external agencies. Elisa's career began at FHI 360 as Associate Program Officer from 1997 to 1999. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Independent Studies from Vassar College.
