Julian Genkins is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where responsibilities include primary care practice, teaching hospitalist services, and informatics roles within the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Department of Biomedical Informatics. Julian also serves as a consultant for Evidently and Atropos Health, focusing on AI-based electronic health record tools and educational integration of real-world data analysis into medical curricula, respectively. With a background that includes a Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Stanford Health Care and several positions associated with electronic health record education, Julian has extensive experience in health IT interventions, clinical informatics, and data science research. Julian earned an MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a BS in Computer Science and Biology from Duke University.
