Joseph Humphries is a multifaceted individual with extensive experience in both research and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University since June 2021, Joseph works on advanced projects involving light-matter coupling and periodic graphene structures. As an Undergraduate Researcher under Dr. Robert Scherrer, valuable insights into Physics and Astronomy were gained. Previous roles include assistance with Dr. Lenn Goodman’s manuscript and various positions within Vanderbilt Student Government, including Health and Wellness Committee Member and Senator. Joseph is also a contributing writer for the Vanderbilt Political Review, while having held leadership positions at the American Enterprise Institute. Educationally, Joseph obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Physics, Philosophy, and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University, culminating studies in April 2023.
