Xavier Purdy

Xavier Purdy currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Director of Projects in the Office of the Provost at Vanderbilt University, a position held since December 2021. Previously, Xavier worked as a Senior Project Manager at JMT Consulting Group from October 2019 to December 2021 and as a Project Manager at Faith Technologies, Inc. from November 2015 to April 2019, where a project portfolio exceeding $21 million was managed. Additionally, Xavier served as a part-time Logistics Officer in the United States Army Reserve, overseeing equipment valued at over $1 million and managing a budget of $3 million. Early military experience includes serving as an Infantry Officer and Operations Project Manager in the US Army from December 2010 to October 2015, responsible for planning and implementing complex training exercises for over 800 soldiers. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Belmont University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Tennessee Technological University.
