Gregory Sheyka has a diverse work experience beginning in 2016 as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Iowa, where they studied radical reactions between electron rich and deficient organic compounds. In 2020, they worked as a Rehabilitation Technician at the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, providing support to Physical Therapists by assisting patients with various exercise programs and precise physical movements to help restore their function. Gregory also worked as a Clinic Informatics Specialist at Oak Street Health, where they served as the personal data assistant to providers, observing and recording patient encounters/examinations, as well as, documenting patient information, history and diagnoses. In 2021, they were an Extraction Technician at Bedford Grow LLC. Currently, they are a Research Associate 2 at Vanqua Bio.

Gregory Sheyka attended Barrington High School from 2009 to 2013. Gregory then attended Harper College from 2013 to 2015, studying Chemistry. Gregory continued their studies at the University of Iowa, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2018.
