Scott Leonard began their work experience as a Project Engineer at Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc. in 2000. Scott then moved on to work as a Mechanical Engineering Designer at Deka Research and Development in 2001. In 2006, they joined M2 Technologies as a Solutions Engineer until 2008. Following this, Scott co-founded Redpoint Studios in 2007 and served as Principal until 2013. Since then, they have been working as the Director of Innovation Engineering at Vapotherm.

Scott Leonard attended Clarkson University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Immaculate Heart Central from 1992 to 1996. In addition to their educational background, Scott Leonard also holds a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from Scrum Inc., which they obtained in August 2021.
