Kurt Tsuo currently serves as Chief Business Officer at Varaha, focusing on empowering smallholder farmers in South Asia through regenerative agriculture and carbon removal initiatives. In addition, Kurt holds advisory roles at Elysia Creative Biology, ChemFinity Technologies, and RedNOx, the latter of which specializes in developing a novel N2O sensor for reducing agricultural fertilizer emissions. As Co-Founder and COO of Graphyte, Kurt contributed to addressing climate change by securing captured carbon. Kurt previously held leadership positions at Breakthrough Energy, ProducePay, and Farmer's Business Network, where notable achievements include raising significant capital and managing major business lines. Early career experiences include roles at the Gates Foundation and The Boston Consulting Group. Kurt Tsuo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Philosophy from Harvard University and an MPA/ID in Economics, Statistics, and Industrial Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
