Antti Karjalainen is a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Varjo since January 2021, previously serving as a Senior Project Lead at SeeByte where Antti led a three-year Unmanned Systems Simulator project involving project management, customer interaction, and Agile methods while focusing on machine learning and simulation technologies. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Varian Medical Systems, contributing to the Eclipse™ Radiotherapy Treatment Planning System, and serving as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Dundee, where Antti developed software for advanced microscopy. Antti holds a PhD in Automatic Image Analysis from the University of Dundee, along with a BSc in Information Technology and an ongoing MSc in Applied Mathematics from LUT University.
