Dawn Barnard, CPA, has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Cherry Bekaert LLP until 2003. Dawn then joined Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP as a Manager, where they remained until 2012. In 2012, Barnard took on the role of Finance Manager at the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project, where they stayed until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the Controller at Mars Hill University. In 2020, they became a CPA at Gregg & Co., a position they held until 2022. Currently, Barnard is working as a Controller at Vault Consulting, where they have been employed since 2022. Furthermore, they also served on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Society of CPAs from 2006 to 2010.
Dawn Barnard, CPA, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting from Converse University. Dawn pursued their studies at the university from 1990 to 1994.
