Rebecca McGahey

Rebecca McGahey, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rebecca is currently working in Vaxcyte as an Executive Director in CMC and General Project Management. Prior to this role, they worked as a Sr. Director in Program Management at Vaxcyte as well. Rebecca was responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing various activities in the IND preparation process. Rebecca also implemented an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and created processes for managing CMC documentation.

Before joining Vaxcyte, Rebecca worked as a Principal Project Management Consultant at Adjuvare Consulting, where they provided support to biotech companies in developing innovative solutions and streamlining business processes. Rebecca has a proven track record in identifying and implementing process improvements.

Rebecca has also held various positions in other companies, including Sutro Biopharma, Inc., Versartis, Inc., Genentech, River and Rock Adventures, ClinOps, Cell Genesys, San Diego VA Hospital Immunology Lab, and Rady Children's Hospital. In these roles, they have gained experience in project management, document control, technical writing, data coordination, and manufacturing.

Rebecca McGahey, PMP, holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego, which they earned from 2000 to 2004. Rebecca also studied Bioengineering at the University of Leeds from 2002 to 2003. In 2009, they pursued further education in Project Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Rebecca is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
