Thijs Schreijer

Thijs Schreijer is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management roles. Currently serving as the Manager of R&D and Engineering at Vcare Connect since June 2025, Thijs has also been actively involved in speaking engagements at various technology conferences, such as HackFest 2024 and FOSDEM 2024, where topics range from API platforms to microservices and load balancing. Prior to Vcare, significant contributions were made at Kong Inc. from August 2015 to May 2025 across multiple roles, including Senior Software Engineer and Senior Solutions Architect. Throughout Thijs's career, a strong focus on emerging technologies, particularly in API gateways, service meshes, and microservices, has been demonstrated, supported by a solid educational background, including an MBA from Rochester - Nyenrode.
