Aroosa Ijaz currently serves as a QML Graduate Researcher at Vector Institute since September 2020. Aroosa has held roles such as Visiting Researcher at Freie Universität Berlin and Graduate Research Assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Aroosa also participated in a Quantum Computing Summer School Internship at the Quantum Open Source Foundation and mentored participants in a Quantum Computing Mentorship Program. Previously, Aroosa worked as a Quantum Machine Learning Scientist and Intern at Xanadu. Aroosa's educational background includes pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of Waterloo (2020-2025), attending the 2021 Qiskit Global Summer School on Quantum Machine Learning, and earning a PhD in Physics from ETH Zürich, alongside a Master's degree in Physics with a focus on Quantum Information from Ulm University. Aroosa began an academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Computer Science from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
