Francois Roewer-Despres is a Deep Learning Graduate Researcher at the Vector Institute since August 2018, focusing on dialogue systems, large language models, and natural language processing, utilizing technologies such as Python, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas. Previous experience includes positions as a Computer Science Research Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan, where key projects involved implementing a muscle wrapping algorithm for ArtiSynth, developing a testing framework called BatchSim, and creating oral cavity models, all under the supervision of Dr. Ian Stavness. Francois holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto (2018-2020) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan (2013-2018).
