Noah Watkins has had a varied career in software engineering, beginning with a Graduate Research Assistant role at UC Santa Cruz in 2009. Noah then became a Research Intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2010, followed by a Software Engineer Intern role at Inktank, Inc. in 2012. Noah also held a Research Intern role at IBM in 2012. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at HGST, a Western Digital company. In 2015, they returned to Los Alamos National Laboratory as a Research Intern. In 2018, they became a Software Engineer at Red Hat. Noah is currently a Software Engineer at Redpanda Data, a role they have held since 2019.

Noah Watkins completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at The University of Kansas between 2001 and 2006. Noah then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz between 2008 and 2018.
