Role: Software Engineer

Direct Report: Team Manager

Job Summary: As a Veevart Software Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating technologies that reshape how cultural institutions connect and serve their customers. Our products have a global footprint, catering to diverse roles across different organizations. This position offers both the thrill and the challenge, as you will be pivotal to our company’s growth, with the flexibility to shift across teams and projects in tandem with the company's evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:

  • Champion continuous improvement by offering valuable recommendations.
  • Innovate and upgrade Veevart's technological stack.

Tactical:

  • Design, script, document, and test software projects, both new and existing.
  • Code across multiple platforms, ensuring seamless communication between them.
  • Offer robust support and enhancements for our current systems.
  • Collaborate with a range of professionals, from data scientists to other engineers, crafting elegant solutions.
  • Consistently elevate our tech approach in sync with the best practices and alongside the company’s other engineers.

Requirements:

Basic:

  • Proficiency in English (minimum A2).
  • Completed at least 8 semesters in software development-related studies (like Systems Engineering, Multimedia) or equivalent experience (such as a CS50 Certificate).
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented programming languages like Java, C++, Python, etc.
  • Experience with Relational Databases like MySQL, Oracle, etc.
  • Eagerness to explore unfamiliar territories.
  • Full-time commitment (minimum 40 hours per week).
  • Alignment with Veevart’s culture and ethos.

Desirable:

  • Advanced English proficiency (B2).
  • A degree in software development or equivalent (Multiple Computer Science Certificates).
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented programming.
  • Mastery over Relational Databases.
  • Knowledge of Non-relational Databases like MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • For interns: COP $1,500,000;
  • For recent graduates: COP $2,750,000.
  • For Experienced Engineers: Salary to be discussed based on experience and expertise.
