Julio Lara

Julio Lara has worked in various roles since 1994. Julio began their career as an Operations Manager at Vitro/Anchor Glass, where they managed plants at two locations in Mexico with sales of $50M and over 2000 hourly employees. Julio then moved to Pechiney Plastic Packaging in 2000, where they were recruited to negotiate/renew a multimillion dollar contract with Procter & Gamble and meet challenging supplier requirements. In 2001, they were promoted to Canadian Business Director/Plant Manager at Alcan, where they directed the construction and launch of a $60M plant with 150 workers. In 2008, they transferred to Albéa Group (formerly Alcan Packaging), where they served as Director/Multi-Plant Manager and directed all plant operations with 265 employees while concurrently managing the Canadian division. From 2016-2022, they worked at Cosmetic Group USA as Chief Operating Officer and VP of Operations. In 2022, they were appointed Chief Executive Officer at Vege Labs.

Julio Lara has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from IPADE Business School, specializing in Management. Julio also has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México, with a specialization in Polymer/Plastics Engineering. Additionally, they hold a Chemical Engineering degree from the same university.
