Jim Dirksen began their work experience in 1982 at Ford Motor Company as a Parts Service Manager in the Customer Service Division. Jim focused on improving vehicle service growth for Ford and Lincoln dealers in a multi-state area. In 1989, they joined Rotary Lift as the Director of North American Sales and held this position until 2007. At Rotary Lift, they oversaw sales operations in North America. From 2007 onwards, Jim Dirksen worked at VSG, A Dover Company as the Vice President of Vehicle Service Group Automotive Lift Sales and Marketing for North and South America. In this role, they were responsible for providing productivity solutions in the automotive vehicle service industry through manufacturing lifting and collision systems. Jim Dirksen retired in April 2023.
Jim Dirksen attended Springfield College in Illinois from 1978 to 1980, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Business/Commerce, General. Jim then continued their education at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1980 to 1982, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
