Mayara M. Monteiro

Mayara M. Monteiro currently serves as an Engineer at Vejdirektoratet, working on the Grøn Mobilitetsmodel since August 2023. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at DTU - Technical University of Denmark from January 2019 to February 2023, where Mayara managed projects, developed Python scripts, created an activity-based travel demand model for Denmark, and conducted stakeholder interviews. Additional positions held include research assistant and guest PhD student at DTU, as well as a PhD researcher at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto under the MIT-Portugal Program. Other significant roles include academic researcher at INESC Technology and Science, and various civil engineering positions at Queiroz Galvão Desenvolvimento Imobiliário S.A. and University of Pernambuco. Mayara holds a PhD in Transportation Systems, a Master’s in Civil Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, along with specialized training in ISO 9001:2008 quality control.
