Mette Riis

Mette Riis is a seasoned professional in the field of social and special pedagogy, currently serving as a Konsulent for ledelse, inklusion og specialpædagogik at Vejle Kommune since June 2024. Prior to this role, Mette held various leadership positions, including Daginstitutionsleder and leder af kommunale dagpleje at Middelfart Kommune from July 2015 to June 2024, and Afdelingsleder at Bifrost from May 2018 to June 2020. Mette's extensive experience spans several roles in educational and support settings, including positions as Institutionsleder, pædagog, and pædagog/økonoma in various organizations dedicated to child development and mental health. Mette holds a Master's degree in social- and special pedagogy from the Danish School of Education, a diploma in leadership from University College Lillebælt, a Bachelor's degree in Almen pædagogik from Kolding Seminarium, and a qualification as a hospitalsuddannet økonoma from Økonomaskolen i Holstebro.
