Syed Towheed

Syed Towheed has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Syed started their career at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 1992, where they held positions as a Systems Programmer, Technical Associate, and Special Projects Team Leader. From there, Towheed worked as the Founder and President of Web Designer Internet Engineering and later as the Founder, CEO, and Board Member of ensoport Internetworks.

In 2001, Towheed transitioned to becoming an Independent Consultant, specializing in Executive Program Management. Syed worked in this capacity until 2006, when they joined Advance Digital Systems as a Sr. Technical Project Manager for Fannie Mae. During their time at Fannie Mae, they successfully led large multidisciplinary teams in infrastructure engineering and new systems deployment. Notable projects included Oracle Financials New Infrastructure Deployment, Primatics Evolv New Infrastructure Deployment, and Netezza Data Warehouse Proof of Concept & Product Deployment.

Towheed continued their career as a Sr. Project Manager and Solutions Architect, working for Freddie Mac through InScope International. Here, they led a team in designing and developing a custom web-based software application for Making Home Affordable - Compliance project. Syed then joined QinetiQ North America in 2011 as a Sr. Project Manager and Solutions Architect through Celerity Government Solutions. In this role, they led teams in developing and delivering the largest releases of real estate inventory management software for the federal government.

After their time at QinetiQ, Towheed became a Program Manager for QinetiQ North America in 2012. In this position, they served the business development and strategy teams by developing concepts of operations and demonstrable prototypes. Syed became a company Subject Matter Expert and thought leader in various areas such as Software Design & Lifecycle Solutions, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud-Based Apps. Towheed also led their team in developing solutions for digital signatures, cloud and mobile applications on various platforms.

The most recent position listed for Towheed is that of Technical Director, Innovations at Vencore Inc., where they have been working since 2014. In this role, they led a team in developing prototypes for the federal government and successfully implemented the VeeSensor™, a smart wireless occupancy sensor. The VeeSensor™ was piloted at the General Services Agency to improve building efficiency.

Throughout their career, Towheed has demonstrated their expertise in leading teams, developing innovative solutions, and successfully delivering complex projects.

Syed Towheed attended the University of Lynchburg from 1989 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics.
