Andrew Williamson is an experienced leader in the venture capital sector, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Venture Capital Committee at the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) since September 2021. As Managing Partner at Cambridge Innovation Capital, a firm focused on investing in intellectual property-rich companies from the University of Cambridge, Williamson oversees investment strategies and manages relationships with stakeholders. Previous roles include Partner at True North Venture Partners, Managing Director at Physic Ventures and MalibuIQ, and Project Leader at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Williamson holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
