Nate Taminger is an experienced professional with a robust background in environmental science and eCommerce management. Currently serving as the Ecommerce Manager and Data Analyst at Native Pet since August 2022, Taminger also founded SeaCycle in March 2023 to promote consumer action against climate change. In addition to entrepreneurial efforts, Taminger works as a Research Associate and Student Researcher at the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science. As a 2022 Venture for America Fellow, Taminger continuously develops skills in business and sustainability. Prior experiences include roles as a Sailing Instructor, Assistant Sailing Instructor at the Greater Richmond Sailing Association, and a Research Project Assistant at the James River Association, where research focused on the impacts of climate change on local ecosystems. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Applied Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Miami and a high school diploma from Maggie L. Walker Governor's School for Government and International Studies.

Venture For America is a two-year fellowship program for recent college grads who want to work at a startup and create jobs in American cities. Fellows learn important startup skills at our month-long Training Camp, apply for jobs within our vetted company network, and work for two years as full-time, salaried employees in one of 15 cities. When Fellows are ready to start a company—be it two years after college or ten—VFA has the resources (like a crowdfunding competition, accelerator, and seed fund) to help make that dream a reality.
