Andrew Welter has over 9 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Andrew started their career as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Electro-Motive Diesel in 2012. After that, they worked as a Tutor at NU Tutors from 2012 to 2014. Andrew then joined SpaceX in 2014 as a Crew Dragon Structures Engineer I and later as a Crew Dragon Structures Engineer II. In 2013, they completed a Process Engineering Internship at SpaceX. Most recently, they worked at Venturi Astrolab, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer II from March 2020 to January 2021 before becoming a Senior Mechanical Engineer in January 2021.
From 2010 to 2014, Andrew Welter attended Northwestern University, where they obtained a combined BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
