Nicolas Wical is an experienced research analyst with a focus on justice reform and data indicators in the criminal justice system. Currently serving at the Vera Institute of Justice since October 2009, Nicolas has contributed to detention reform efforts in New York and development of performance measures for the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services. Prior to this role, Nicolas was a research assistant at the Center for Substance Abuse Research from June 2008 to October 2009. Nicolas holds a Master's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, which was completed between 2007 and 2009.
