James Valliant has extensive work experience in the medical imaging industry. James started their career at GE Power & Water as an Electromagnetic Design Engineer. James then moved on to various roles at GE Healthcare, including Marketing Manager and Marketing Director for CT and PET/CT. James also served as the National DI Sales & Marketing Manager for Canada. Valliant later joined Philips Healthcare as VP & GM of Global Advanced Molecular Imaging and then became the Sr. Director of CT Marketing. More recently, they worked at Leica Microsystems as the GM of Medical Americas before joining Verathon Inc. as the VP/GM of the Imaging Business Unit.
James Valliant attended Queen's University from 1986 to 1990 and obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering during this time. In 1990, they also obtained a Professional Engineer certification from PEO (Professional Engineers of Ontario). Later, in 1995, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from General Electric.
