Karen Wong, P. Eng is a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on New Product Development at Verathon since October 2021. Prior to this role, Karen served as a Senior R&D Engineer at Neovasc Inc. from May 2014 to October 2021, where responsibilities included leading the design and development of a transseptal mitral heart valve delivery system and working within a multidisciplinary team on a transcatheter mitral heart valve prosthesis. Earlier experience includes a role as an R&D Project Engineer at Neovasc Inc. and a Footwear Development Intern at Puma SE, where Karen contributed to a best practices guide for soccer cleat design. Additionally, Karen has graphic design experience from a position at Youth Central, where several projects were completed independently. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with Biomedical Specialization from the University of Calgary, obtained in 2013.
