JOB SUMMARY The Porter is responsible for the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings of multi-family residential grounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Empty all trash bins in basement into boiler room Clean-up trash and sweep outside building on Hyde & Washington Check all floors for dirt/spills Empty trash in mail room & laundry room Elevator – polish all wood and clean glass Wipe glass at front entrance of building Vacuum all floors Vacuum stairs every other day or as needed Mop basement and lobby Check/clean laundry room Empty all trash bins in basement into boiler room Deliver packages Wash the sidewalk Clean alley at Washington Street entrance Sweep parking lot and roof Alert manager of any graffiti and clean as needed Dusting - hallways and banisters Sweep and mop boiler room Clean trash bins Report any bulk items left in basement to manager   SKILLS AND ABILITIES Willingness to perform all required tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits. Ability to professionally represent the company. Able to work on‐call (as necessary and/or an emergency arises) and extended hours (including after hours and weekends). Attention to detail ‐ meticulous. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to interact effectively with employees and residents. Ability to work individually and with a team.   REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred 2 years of related work experience is preferred Requires handling objects weighing up to 25 or more pounds and standing or walking for more than six (6) hours a day   WORKING CONDITIONS This position will spend their time walking up and down stairs, crouching, reaching, and twisting which can cause muscle strain.    This job has regular exposure to indoor and outdoor climates. This role is routinely exposed to mechanical, electrical and other hazardous equipment.
