Leonid Spesivtsev is a seasoned professional in finance and quantitative research, currently serving as a Portfolio Manager in the Quantitative Strategies Group at Verition Fund Management LLC since September 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Vice President in Global Stock Selection Research within the Machine Learning Group at AQR Capital Management from February 2019 to January 2023, and a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Alternative Investment Initiative at The Wharton School between September 2016 and December 2018. Earlier in their career, Leonid held the position of Head of Research and Development of Financial Software Technologies at National City Bank from 2003 to 2006. Leonid's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Finance from The Wharton School, a Master of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master of Sciences in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from Ural State University.
