Lawrence Smith III CPA, PMP, has extensive experience in accounting and financial management, currently serving as Sr Manager of Accounting - Financial Systems at Veritiv since January 2006, where responsibilities include project management of Mergers & Acquisitions accounting and integration into Oracle Cloud General Ledger while ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant accounting standards. Prior to this role, Lawrence held the position of Sr Manager of FP&A at Veritiv, focusing on financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting from 2006 to 2013. Previous positions include various leadership roles in financial planning and analysis, pricing, and accounting at Orange Business Services, as well as consulting with Deloitte & Touche in Customs and International Trade. Lawrence began his career at Bridgewater Associates as a Sr Accountant and has additional experience in mutual fund accounting and auditing from Aetna Life & Casualty and Accenture.
