Vivek Gurumurthy is the SVP and CIO for Global Technology Solutions Verizon Consumer Group, a global organization responsible for delivering digital solutions to our customers and frontline employees, as well as technology solutions that enable innovation, growth and enhances customer experiences. Vivek's Verizon career spans 23 years and started in 1998 when he joined the GTE IT organization to support the GTE CLE Operations. During his tenure, Vivek has led multiple solutions and transformative programs within several organizations including Wireline, Wireless, and Corporate Finance. Under Vivek's current leadership, GTS VCG has delivered industry-changing programs including Touchless Retail, a creative retail solution launched during the COVID-19 pandemic and Contact Center AI (CCAI), which has transformed the customer and agent experience through AI/ML innovative technology. He is leading the organization during the North Star Architecture transformation, which drives a seamless Omni channel experience, as well as a global Agile Transformation journey. Vivek is a mentor to several employees in Verizon and is constantly engaged in developing strong, talented individuals who can strengthen the business. In his personal time, Vivek enjoys bike riding and actively engages in community events. Vivek earned his Master's Degrees in Computer Science from Arizona State University and lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children.

Their wireline services are provided in nine states in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S., as well as Washington D.C., over a 100% fiber-optic network through their Verizon Fios product portfolio and over a traditional copper-based network to customers who are not served by Fios. In 2021, the Consumer segment’s revenues were $95.3 billion, representing approximately 71% of Verizon’s consolidated revenues. Their Business segment provides wireless and wireline communications services and products, including data, video and conferencing services, corporate networking solutions, security and managed network services, local and long distance voice services and network access to deliver various Internet of Things (IoT) services and products. They also provide FWA broadband through our wireless networks. Verizon provides these products and services to businesses, government customers and wireless and wireline carriers across the U.S. and select products and services to customers around the world. In 2021, the Business segment's revenues were $31.0 billion, representing approximately 23% of Verizon’s consolidated revenues.
